This will be because driving school cars have a diesel engine in 99.5% of cases. This one has a lot of wombs at low speeds, which is why it is first strangled significantly later. A gasoline engine that is safely installed in your “Schrottkiste” is much faster. A gasoline engine is not driven with stand gas as usual. A gasoline wants a certain speed beforehand. This should also be done with the diesel, but a gasoline just wants much more and, as I said, has strangled much faster if it doesn’t get enough to start. That the clutch is different than in the driving school is quite normal. Every car is different. When I sold my VW Golf V a year ago, my new car (also gasoline) had been driving for 2 weeks and then had to go with the golf again, it was as if I had never been driving it. The coupling was so inconceivable that I had to learn to handle the first 3 minutes like a beginner. The differences are sometimes enormous, but this is completely normal. You have to get used to that. If you want to drive a rental car in the summer holiday or, for example, get a company car assigned to you, do you want to drive? That’s why I would say much more that it should be in your interest to learn that. The transition from diesel to petrol and generally a completely different car is always a challenge at the beginning. Most of them have “to fight.” I didn’t learn that on a day.
And you won’t get a rental car as a minor. When renting, the driver’s license is also checked. Only registered drivers are allowed to drive. You’re just gonna find someone who accepts your coat. Apart from this, the amount of insurance increases enormously if possible. I don’t see any reason to rent a car if you two have a door.
And that your father doesn’t let you drive a C63 is completely understandable. The accident statistics speak a clear language. Every human mind should tell you that it is logical that beginners make much more frequent mistakes and increase the risk of accidents enormously.
first thank you for your long text and yes, now it comes back to my mind, it was because my driving school car was a diesel and it is now a gasoline, so I can’t start without gas. thank you!
And I call it a junk box because my father drove for over 15 years and it was so often in the workshop. it is a Renault Scenic, it has many broken things, so I feel so insecure with it. and has been haunted many times because I can’t operate the car so clean, that has upset me very much.
I can fully understand your frustration, so it’s not. I don’t like to drive those old cars. I’ve seen things I don’t need again with the golf. Of course, I prefer to sit in a new car with a lot of comfort, guarantee and without great problems (where the one already had a transmission damage from the beginning in the new state, so you don’t stay there). But you can’t expect your parents to buy you a new car right away. Especially if you have two. A car with 280.000km is of course very different from what you are used to. Renting a car is simply not an alternative. And a C63 is also not ideal for beginners. The problem here is that your father would have to expand the driver’s circle. Because you’re young, the insurance contribution increases extremely. Your father certainly does not want to take these costs lovingly. Just because it is a more expensive and well-engineered car, the contribution rises very strongly. That’s why you can’t drive as long as your father hasn’t adapted the contract.
It would perhaps be more useful if the “Schrottkiste” is sold and you will get a corresponding replacement with which you will be better aware and where the insurance contribution will not be so high – even if it is of course more expensive than in the “Schrottkiste”. Did you ever talk to your father?
My father has been trying to sell the car a few years ago, but even for 2000€ had no interest, everything would not come into question for my father because car comes from A to B, it was a good 2 car to not consume so much petrol. My father is not against buying a new car, he wants to pay the half, I want to save something and then he pays something, that sounds good for me too.
At 17 you are usually excluded. Even the sample time is often a thorn in the eye. When I was 19 years old, I had to rent a car (was still short in the trial period) and I only got it against a higher deposit and not with every rental company. You’re a minor.
You get used to cars. In the first years after the driver’s license I drove all kinds of “olle carrots”. From my own 19-year-old golf 2 gasoline, which I first strangled directly, via a ollen box car on work, whose clutch was beyond good and evil over (later with CE) a 40 toner who had down over 1 million kilometers.
It is more the problem that you have modern cars in the driving school and the majority of them will not have. So practising 🙂 Then this also works with the older family carriage. I couldn’t have come to my boss with “Sorry, the car is too old to me, I can’t drive” Find a quiet street and get to know your parents’ car. It’s faster than you think.
If a vehicle is rented, the car hire provider will create a rental contract. You can’t sign this alone under 18 years. Most of the car hire companies have a minimum age of 18 years and often a requirement for how long the driving licence is already in possession. Then it’s like the rental vehicles are staggered from the age. This means that at the age of 18 to 21/23, and from there up to 25 and beyond 25 only certain groups of vehicles can rent.
In your case, that would be the mini and economy class. So you can’t wacker up to Sixt or EC and want to have some special car like high-priced convertibles from BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. Apart from the large providers, there are also car rental companies that offer only such carts as AMG, BMW M, US-Muscle Cars. But even there you will come quite safely with 18 years and not at all with 17 years. Especially since usually there are 1 or more rare even 2 credit cards.
Otherwise, I’ll find your jammy really limit to be honest. With the driving school car, certainly could not drive immediately and have learned it, then you can do it with your old car. Your father is absolutely right to give you a C63 AMG as a beginner. Prove that you’re getting clear with the other car, get some driving practice and experience, and then Daddy’s gonna be softened sometime.
You say you can drive a car 😂😂😂 who can drive a car, he gets clear with every car.
You can drive at most, you can do it in 10 years….
I also drive cars with insynchrinized gear, where you have to give intermediate gas. You wouldn’t even be able to leave this….
Learn to drive on the old car before you wear fast cars, because you would quickly be overwhelmed….
Small plus comment: you can drive and know the simplest basic concepts and rules from the driving school.
The rest is hard workout in many years with situations you can’t even imagine. Besides, you’re just sitting behind the wheel, because you’re responsible for your choices. Then you can you’re driving. 😉
For example, you will learn that there are many cars that react very individually and that of the driving school is just one of other possibilities.
Of which: https://www.billiger-car-hir.de/reisewelt/reiseinfos/rund-ums-auto/fuehrerschein-ab-17.html
So you have to be at least year-round, FS times assumed.
Car rental companies do not rent vehicles to minors.
Coupling left, brake in the middle, gas right is the normal arrangement. What’s wrong with your car?
And that’s right.
Coupling left, brake in the middle, gas right is the normal arrangement. What’s wrong with your car?
The grinding point is different. at the driving school car I could drive 5-10km without gas and my father’s car is not going, it makes noise, goes out and so on. I just want a smart car, what does my father not understand? a car which was not so often at the workshop
The grinding point is different for each car. But who can drive will get clear after a few meters with a “Schrottkarre”
This will happen to you more often that you have to drive another / strange car and suddenly everything reacts differently than usual
Give more gas and then let the clutch come, then it won’t work out either. Get tips from your father how to drive the car.
Then you should learn to deal with the clutch.
Unfortunately, thanks to the many answers I have learned a lot. and I will have to live with it.
I know this is hard. You get a sporty new car from the driving school and then the reality comes after the driving school. I was driving 18 and I wanted to drive alone, but I couldn’t. Then I switched stubbornly and I drove a total of 250 km a year, so practically not at all.
On the other hand, 1/3 of the abituents had an accident after 2 years of driving. The danger that this has happened to you. That’s why you’re driving the dayd Karre.
then I must live with it, nevertheless thank you.
Yeah, but you’re not driving a new car, so you’re getting used to the old car. You know how to drive a new car and get back in there quickly.
then it will always be too loud, and then this and then that and when I drive a new car I have to reconcile myself..
then you will have to learn it, you will not be left.
Apparently only with the mouth 😎 this is the case, the driving schools have quite modern vehicles with many small helpers, your parents are still an older one, even with it you can drive; must be reconciled
No, no one rents a car to a 17-year-old.
Your father knows you, and you obviously don’t seem to be able to drive very well if you’re always strangling the car despite 50 double hours in the driving school.
I never strangled the driving school car, but the old car from my father. it’s just different, I have to give more gas to my father’s car, because driving school car was a diesel.
That’s clear to me and that goes to others who buy their own little car.
However, after a short reconciliation phase, all cars should be able to drive and not only diesel with assistance systems.
Your father could also rent it if he wanted…but first of all you should be happy to be able to drive at all, with me you would only drive the older car or not at all, if you need so a few driving hours and you will not be able to appreciate money for the first time…if I read the 20000 n cheap car…
I’m sorry, but you apparently misunderstood me. 20000€ is not biligent, but also not expensive. most smart cars start from €20,000. a car that is not a workshop car that has no problems.
I save my money myself, don’t spend it for partying or anything else, so this treasure doesn’t fit.
well then you should inform yourself and later on when buying a car someone who has the warning…I buy myself only cheap under 5,000€…the current mazda is 16 years old u has 213tkm down, I drive him 7.5 years…I only know the inspections
may not sign a lease
and can I drive if my father rents it?
you have to ask
at Sixx stands
For the minimum age and the driver’s licence, certain provisions shall apply which may be directed to the respective vehicle and taken from the booking route. In principle, the minimum age for each driver is 18 years (guide license at least 1 day). A deviation of the minimum age is possible as a function of the vehicle.
An additional fee is charged for drivers under 25 years of age.
Ageing
Certain regulations in the Sixt+ Auto Abo apply to the minimum age and the driver’s licence.

An additional fee of EUR 80,00 per month is charged for drivers under 25 years of age.
Thank you
You speak as “school”, I don’t understand the connection, no one is somewhere guilt 🤷 ♂️
Young learn to drive and drive the junk box…
As long as the TÜV gets it’s still good enough, even for you…
Young learn car driving
This has nothing to do with it.
I learned it with another car and could drive it there clean!!! I can drive it too, not without the noise I hate!
Then you can drive a car and not drive a car…
And noises are part of driving… sounds funny but so 😉
It goes down like oil.
In addition: now allowed the TE car drive…
No car rental with mind would rent you a car for heating with 17.
Among other things, because you are not full-year.
First of all, you have no right for your parents to give you cars you can drive with. The excuse you can’t drive with the old car is bad. You can also learn. A car is also a means of transportation and costs, it is not a fun object. Driving schools always have modern cars, that seems to be important to you. Cars can be rented from 21 years. But then there are also increased fees for you because you are younger.
I can drive with the car, but it happens so many things… it makes noise and so on. also with my father it sounds, you don’t seem to understand it, do you? the car is the problem
But it’s driving? If you do music, you’ll listen to the sounds less.
well.
By the way, it is usually the case that you make the driving school on new cars and even then drive an old whirlpool, because you cannot afford a new car as a starter.
I can also drive the junk box, but not so clean because it’s just that..
It does. You’re still in accompanied driving, so you can explain the handling of older cars.
I didn’t check anything, did you have two cars, once the C63 and a junk box? Or is the C63 junk box?
we have two cars, but my father doesn’t let me go with the C63 because the old car is so often out, but it’s not my fault if it’s a car that was 20 times at the workshop.
