"Abuse" of dark magic in fictional stories for good?
How would you feel about a story where someone "abuses" dark magic to save lives and do other things?
Is thinking like reading a book's mind???
I want to give the cover a frame. How do I do that?
I've been interested in writing books since elementary school, and my teachers have told me ever since that I'm good at writing stories, and very creatively at that… (I even wrote a book in elementary school, but it had a lot of spelling mistakes in it.) I'm currently writing a new book. Does anyone have…
In my story, a character has a very profound experience. (Not before, but during the story!) But I don't know how exactly I should address this. I've thought of two possibilities. In one, the character looks back on it, and in the other, you'd experience it almost directly. An example (character experiences a car accident):…
People who are simply perfect. Completely polished, without mistakes or flaws. They are beautiful, smart, talented, rich, popular, admired, quick-witted, athletic, and also friendly and/or cool, etc. There's nothing they can't do or master in no time. They're better than superheroes, more flawless than gods. Why do people write about such characters? Everyone should be…
Not the talents show what a person you are, but Your deeds could be taken out in such a story.
If the main character of the story, for example, without wanting to have the talent for destructive magic, or perhaps dominates the necromantie, or can call demons – then you wouldn’t want to believe him if he says “Ah I’m actually a harmless and peaceful type!”
Then, for example, his family, his village or perhaps even completely strange people come in danger and he can help with his powers. People are saved but they are afraid or even believe that they are not a savior but a cause of misfortune (although he actually stopped it) and he is now in danger, etc.
You can certainly make an interesting story!
Have fun writing 🙂
Go on.
If you don’t have to be evil to use them, they can actually use everyone and it’s just magic.
If you use them for the good, that’s a very nice idea.
Dark magic is not used per se for negatives. It only means you use magic for yourself (egocentric).
There are different definitions. The most common (by my experience) is actually the dark magic only has a different origin. Or has a price.
Good. I’m annoying people in stories. Like these characters that only afflict every enemy and cry out when friends are killed later.
Just like Anakin became Vader because he wanted to save Padme.
I’m fine.
