Mirena IUD and still having a period?

Hello friends of the sun,

I am 17 years old and had the Mirena coil inserted about 3 weeks ago.
But since I'm still bleeding, I'm concerned and wanted to ask if this is typical.
Well, they were gone for two days, then got stronger again, and now they're barely there at all. This back and forth is driving me a little crazy.

I didn't want to rush to the gynecologist because I'm otherwise fine and just wanted to wait and see if it would go away in the next few days.

Maybe someone has experience with this or can help me.
