There are tests where helmets without MIPS system are more efficient than helmets with MIPS system. It is certain that the system makes some helmets safer by reducing the harmful rotational movements that would affect the head. Many well-known manufacturers have therefore taken over the MIPS system into their helmet models and offer the same helmet with and without MIPS.
I personally use the Uvex I-VO CC MIPS helmet, which was also several test winners. The extra price for I-VO CC without MIPS was worth it! Since MIPS has no disadvantages for users. Only the partially movable inner shell in some helmets is necessary.
