Minecraft autostart?

Hello,

I was wondering if there's a way to make Minecraft start automatically when I start the PC, so I can basically just enter the password and then go to the bathroom, and when I come back, Minecraft is running. The best thing, of course, would be if not just the launcher started, but the entire game. I play Minecraft Java on the current version of Windows.

Thanks in advance, Wurmstein! 🙂

(PS: The coolest thing would be if I could join a server automatically. Would that work?)

Jup that’s possible.

Open Minecraft at launch:

  • Step 1: Create a link to the Minecraft Launcher on your desktop.
  • Step 2: Move the link to a Autostart folder. Add to this:
Windows + R
  • and then
shell:startup
  • So far, your Minecraft Launcher will start automatically when your PC is turned on.

Automatically log into the game and join server:

To automate this, you need to start Minecraft via the command line

  • Create a new link for the Minecraft launcher, but add the following command line argument:
minecraft-launcher.exe --username [dein Username] --password [Dein Passwort] --server ip:port

Should work theoretically now. If something doesn’t work, you can contact us again.

At the 2nd part I am insecure but the first one should work in any case.

You’d probably have to create your own script, from the Minecraft Launcher at least it’s not possible.

The automation you describe is possible with much effort.

But the effort is not worth it, compared to the advantage you receive.

Minecraft should remember your login details for normal. However, you must join yourself and the server on Start. Don’t be so lazy. If the 2 clicks are too much work you should stop using Minecraft.
