You do everything right. You don’t have to wash it.

I usually cook milk rice with water for the dogs and I wash it before.

Yeah, you can. If they have diarrhea, then little meat. The rice plus possibly pelleted carrots (softened naturally) eliminate the problem usually quite fixed.

Because of residues and bacteria on the grains.
