Microsoft Family OneDrive syncs everything automatically?
Hi everyone, I got Microsoft Family and after a while noticed that my desktop icons were gone. Then I realized that OneDrive was uploading everything. Now I've been looking for solutions to stop the syncing and have found a few, but it always says that the data is then gone…
How do I stop this shit from being saved locally on my PC as usual and nothing in this shitty OneDrive?
Do I have to download all the data from OneDrive first and then unlink it from my account?
please help
Yes, Microsoft Family OneDrive automatically syncs files between your computer and the cloud by default. If you want your files to be stored locally on your PC and not uploaded to OneDrive, you need to disable the synchronization.
To cancel the synchronization and save the files only locally, you can disconnect the connection to your OneDrive account. Before you do this, make sure that all files you want to keep are already stored on your computer. If you disconnect the connection, the files in your OneDrive will not be deleted, but they are no longer available on your computer unless you reload them.
To disable synchronization, you can adjust the options for syncing files in OneDrive settings. There you can determine which files are to be stored locally and which should remain in the cloud. By adjusting the settings accordingly, you can control which files are available on your computer and which are stored in OneDrive.
