Microphone overloads when I get scared?

Hey guys, I'm streaming Dead By Daylight on Twitch, and I got a pretty bad scare the other day, and my microphone wasn't picking it up. I don't know why. The second time it happened, it didn't pick it up properly either, as my screaming was pretty choppy. I have a Quadcast S. I have a volume control on the microphone. And I have it in the middle, so it's not set to full volume.

I use Obs for streaming.
I hope someone can help me.
Thank you!

The problem might be due to the sensitivity setting of your microphone, If you frighten yourself and that microfon overrides, it could be that it is too sensitive and thus absorbs too much information, try to turn down the sensitivity and see if the problem solves, If not, it could also be due to a setting in OBS to check out your audio settings there and play a bit with the options around to fix lots
