Pls help ××

I wouldn’t write that, maybe something like that. “They gave an agreeing sound of themselves” or something.

Or she nods:)

So in one of my favorite novels, one of the characters is very often known just “Mhm” or “Hmh” etc. instead of agreeing or rejecting Nickt or otherwise.

Here is a two examples quoted from the book:

“Hmh,” Lan Wangji agreed.

“Mmm! I’m here!”

Alternatively you can also write:

He humiliated.

“An agreeing nap was the answer.”

“He chased it with a head nod.”

“He just shooked it.

You can also easily write the loud when it fits the writing style. You can’t misunderstand what else you mean? In the context of the matter, a reader will understand.

How about body language? Z.b.: “She nodded…” in my opinion would be a more elegant solution.
