Mercedes timing chain stretched?

Hello, I drive a 2009 W212 diesel with 140,000 km on the clock. I've been driving it for four months now, and every time it starts, it jerks and clunks a bit for 2.3 seconds. After that, everything goes quiet again. I'd never thought about the timing chain or chain tensioner, but now I do think about them. But even if the chain were stretched, would it be fine for four months?

I would rather tap on the clamp, which sometimes makes problems just like the slide rails, which are becoming rather brittle.

This is caused by the tensioner. I’d be surprised if the necklace was already 140tkm. It’s a little early.

He certainly has a hydraulic valve play balance over the engine oil circuit. Until the pressure is built up, noise could also be generated. If the oil pressure is there after 2 seconds, it’s calm.

As long as the chain is “just” it should be good.

At some point, however, she can skip and then you need a lot of luck that the engine survives.

This is possible, it can only be on the jack or that the car is too long, then it only has to build up oil pressure….if you wait too long, the chain will also hurt……The jack is not so doll in the model… You can only see that when you open the engine…. If you do this, you can also exchange the slide rails with them……the ones will kill it with time…… Everything goes beyond a chain set… ^^ 🙂
