Melatonin (Green Doc) from 1mg to 3mg?

Hello everyone,

I've been taking 1mg melatonin as a meltable tablet to help me sleep for years. Not all the time, but occasionally.

So far I've bought the Green Doc ones at the drugstore.

Now Green Doc has become Zirkulin and there are now 3mg meltable tablets.

I have never taken more than 2mg (i.e. 2 tablets).

Isn't it a bit harsh to jump from 1mg to 3mg? Why is that? 1mg is enough for most people, isn't it? And these 3mg meltable tablets are also the highest dosage currently available. All others have a maximum of 1.8mg.

I feel a little uncomfortable taking three times the usual dose.

Melatonin is, in my opinion, completely safe. Especially since the tablets mentioned don't contain any other active ingredients or plants. But 3 mg?! Is that still safe? Ultimately, it's just the body's own messenger substance.

I am unsettled.

Does it have to be melted tablets?

And if you could decide for tablets. Would that be nix?

For example:

Well, I’d be sceptical at 3mg.
