Meinungen zum Audi 80 b4 von 1994?

Guten Tag,

The Audi 80 is a slightly boared car, technically up to five cylinders, 1.9 TDI and “quattro” little exciting but reliable. I can only recommend it. My brother had an 80 and I had a 100 – these were very good vehicles.

Typical vulnerabilities are toothed belt/water pump, front axle with all components and bearings, the cooling system, the heating heat exchanger and isolated non-tight backlights as well as the cable harness tailgate/backlights. The 80 can also grate despite full galvanization, but it remains very within the frame. Beulen-forming brake hoses are also a topic for old VW/audio models of the 80s/90s also at the Audi 80. He shouldn’t be so long in the past (no longer than 3-4 years ago). The models with automatic transmission should be ignored – they were bad at the time, are not better today.

The Audi 80 is still worth a recommendation today due to its lack of entitlement and reliability. In addition, the relatively good availability of reasonable cars for a fair price – the Audi 80 always spoke to a very conservative audience and, unlike the E30, is not a “Kult Youngtimer”: Today you have chances of a beautiful “Rentnerauto” with a manageable running performance for less than 2000 euros. If you don’t need anything right away, you should find a decent 80. Spinners who write out a quattro or five-cylinder for 10000 euros and wonder that there is no interest, but they are not the rule.

The best business is an Audi 80 B3 1.8S with very powerful 90 hp (until 1991) or an Audi 80 B4 with the robust two-liter motor and 90 hp. The 2.0E with 115 hp is also good, you can buy – all about it is sweatless; the 2.3E with 133 hp is very expensive and hard to find, the six-cylinders are simply disappointing and show with a lavish power development and rough running with unappetiably high consumption that 2.8E and 2.6E around 1990 have been the first Audi six-cylinder engines – and the 1.6E with 100 hp just doesn’t fit the Audi 80 from the engine characteristic, which he also remained until the end of 1993. At first glance, 90 hp in the Audi 80 seem juiceless, go better than you think. The 2.0E with 115 hp even helps the 80’s almost athletic rides, but everything makes no sense.

It is important that it meets the Euro-2 standard, but many 80 have received a cold-running regulator when this roundabout was around 2003-2006. Make sure he has as few pre-owners as possible, ideally a nice pensioner who has made everything. Such an Audi 80 is a car that will provide care services for many years. If you find such a car, I can only encourage you to buy it – the 80 already thanks normal care and maintenance with a long life; a little care and every 15000 kilometers an oil and filter change (15W-40 is enough) pays off.

Quattros do not recommend. The traction is already absolutely to be described as good at the front-driver, Quattro models are rare, expensive and problematic in the supply of spare parts. In addition, in the case of quattro, a lot of scrap is circulating and the consumption due to the friction is untimely high in small petrol engines, while the front-driver with 90 or 115 hp is economical.

Try it with a BMW 528e which is extra economical and is also more suitable for quiet driving. He also has a beautiful shape and a super front in my opinion

If you find a good B4 that is good of the substance, there is nothing against it. From the engine I would put on the 2.3 E petrol 5 cylinder with 133 hp. The engine lasts forever during maintenance and maintenance and is almost indestructible and sounds good at it without being tied around.

H registration is not mandatory, you can also register old cars quite normal…
