My father started a small moving company. Can he work elsewhere on the side?

Or is it not worth it? Will he pay more taxes or something? Because the company isn't doing well. What would you recommend in this regard?

In any case, it is necessary to take it, because you want to live. Whether through an independent business activity or through a job as an employee – is then a question of success.

If the phone in the moving company is occupied during the day, your father does not have to sit next to you for hours and wait for interested parties. He can also use the time as an employee. He has to tax all revenue, no matter how it happened. The advantage of a job is that the employer pays 50% of all social contributions (sickness insurance, pension insurance, nursing insurance).

The only question is how he can practically agree on moving company and “nex job”. Finally, he can’t tell his boss as an employee: this afternoon I’m not coming because I have a conversation for a possible move order.
