My phone has water damage. How do I access the photos stored on the device?

Hey, yesterday I dropped my phone in the sink. After about half an hour, it started flickering green. I was able to quickly make an iCloud backup. Today I logged into my new phone with the iCloud account, but some photos are missing. So, theoretically, they can only be accessed on the broken device. The broken phone can still be charged. It was completely turned off to dry, but it was completely turned off. How do I get the photos that are only on the broken phone?

Let the broken smartphone dry. At least 1 week. Then try your luck again.

Alternative: go to the specialist for water damage to smartphones. Not to the phone screwdriver in town!

Have you saved your photos in a cloud, for example One Drive or Google Photos? There, the images on the mobile phone are usually automatically stored.

You will get to the photos via a data recovery company, which will then have a few hundred to a thousand euros.

It’s probably just about a professional in saving data. But that’s juicy.
