Do multiple internships make sense?

Hi,

I would like to study architecture soon and am currently doing my mandatory internship in an architectural office.

My question is, do universities recognize an additional, voluntary internship (e.g. in construction) and does that give me plus points when applying?

I know that an internship is always worthwhile because of new experiences, etc., but I would rather bridge the time until I start studying by working instead of doing an internship that is not recognized.
