Huhu, do a lot of work with them… don’t take them on the arm all the time, but put yourself in to them and feed something tasty out of the hand… at some point they’ll be tasty:).

Stay close first when you fed her. As soon as they eat without hesitation, you start offering food through the grid. If they can do that, you put up the grid keeps them food and so they become more and more suspicious. So they will eventually lose the fear of touch. That can take months and it’s not safe. Meeris are not like dogs. The only thing she keeps with you is the bars.

That’s a good idea. I hope you don’t mean the grids of these standard cages, which are available in shops to buy? guinea pigs need at least per animal. 1 square. And these cages, i.e. R., cannot offer them.

Big or small cage. They have all the grids.

With patience and feed from the hand. Do not make too many hopes that Meeries usually hate to be stroked. Most tolerate it at most. Only a few actually like it. These are not cuddly animals. If you want a pet to caress, don’t worry about guinea pigs. There are enough pets that can be caressed.

Do as I do with my birds. Let them come to you, give them food from their hands and try nothing to force.
