Maximum heart rate at 191?
Hi, I'm 17 years old and exercise regularly. I wanted to test my maximum heart rate so I could train in the aerobic range. As a rule of thumb, my maximum heart rate should be a little over 200. But it is. Will this make my endurance training more difficult? Is this normal for my age?
The formula is nothing, and if you really have full weight, it is also in the stars. I bet your HFmax is still a little bit above it.
Recognizing the aerobic area is quite simple. If it is not possible for you to entertain yourself with a (imaginary) training partner in all sentences without snapping in between to air, you are too fast and should reduce the load.
Your pulse must not come too high because from 180 the danger of a heart attack is. The normal pulse is between 60 and 80. The pulse in sport may range from 90 to 130. Over 200 is extremely dangerous. You should make a medical check if your normal pulse is over 110.
Love greetings of Jacob
130? The doctors say the aerobic range is below 80% of the maximum pulse. That would be 152
No, you say 200 minus age is not dangerous yet. Dangerous is the chamber flotation when the heart beats so fast that no blood is pumped.
Okay, do you drink energy or too much coffee? Can you give me more information about your everyday life? Thank you.
So…
Okay, thanks. but I would still be taking care of the pulse. My pulse can come up to a maximum of 127 at a week-end. And if I have the pulse 130, I’ll flip. Take care that can end very dangerous. This is 79.8% if the pulse is 180. I’m just trying to put it on security. Then I wish you a nice evening.

Wait, I don’t think you understood what I mean. I have just increased my speed to 5 minutes. In the end, I made a full print to see how fast my heart can hit maximum. I drink neither energy, nor coffee, nor eat unhealthy show( sweet, almost food etc.)
These fist formulas are a little deaf. Every heart beats individually 😉
Thank you for the answer! I want to improve my stamina as well as my speed. My threshold between aerobic and anaerobic is about 150 bpm. Could you give me tips on how to design my training plan? Does a lactate test make sense in my case?
I never did lactate test. But I ran several marathons.
I have a threshold of 153. I run most runs below the threshold. Initially, the ne 7er pace, at some point 5:30 at the same pulse (currently not, had baby break 😉)
1x per week should be on schedule. Depending on the target, 400-1000m full gas and 200-500m break. 5-10x
Know as a fist formula with a normal size so 200 – age comes halfway in 191 and is not bad at all.
My cardiologist once told me that an effort should go up to a maximum of 180. It would be dangerous.
