Mouse pointer doesn't move and partially disappears?

When I turned on my PC today, everything was working normally. I made myself something to eat at some point and was only gone for half an hour. When I came back, I couldn't move the mouse pointer anymore. I've restarted and updated my PC several times, but the mouse pointer disappears completely as soon as I turn it back on. After a while, it's visible again but doesn't move. I thought the whole time that it was Windows because my mouse was still lit, and I also changed the USB port, which didn't help either, but I just moved my mouse again and it moved slightly. I'm confused and completely frustrated because I have a school project to do by tomorrow. I would appreciate some help, and sorry for the long and awkward explanation.

If there is still a ball mouse: remove ball and clean everything

in a modern mouse: Clean the feet and the lens

Otherwise… install the chipset driver (here there are sometimes new USB drivers) and then look again

Perhaps the mouse is at her end of life and would like to be sent to retirement

LOL OK

That’s what I could come to. “problem” is: I have not used a mousepad for several years, just for

Put a sheet of paper under, that does better

Try other USBs. Did the BIOS have been reset to standard and thus the USB has been deactivated?

If it’s a radio mouse, it’s the batteries.
