-4 on both sides

-7 = -y/3

*(-3) on both sides

7 * 3 = y = 21

Too bad everyone just betrayed the solution. It doesn’t help you if you don’t understand it yourself.

Basically, an equation is like a scale. On both sides is the same numerical value (like a weight). The trick is now skillful to do the same on both sides so that you can finally read what exactly the variable is now.

the right side and left side -3. Both sides are the same number. On the right, you only have an unknown person to find out. When you find out the unknowns and you stand there

So you can already estimate that y must be something big if you can count it /3 and then take off from +4.

As I said, you can now add and multiply any number to solve it. You can take both sides *10 if you’re funny.

Just don’t help you, but it’s important to understand that Mustard! *10 is an absolutely logical and allowed “mathematical operation”.

More sensual might be -4 so that we somehow get the y isolated.

Now maybe both sides three more times, the three ones cut right.

and last both sides once -1 so that the y stands alone.

Once you understand the principle, it is quite easy. Always apply “legal mathematical operations” on both sides. Which operations are now “legal” in an equation you can read.

Add/subtract, multiplicate/divide, potentiate/grow, logartify/expose and substitute. You learn something like that at school.

There are many FS who do not want to understand. They just want to finish their Sch****

Families with enough money for help make this also

-3*3 = 4*3 – y

+y and + 9

-3=4-y:3 //*3

-9=12-y /+y

y-9=12 // +9

y=21
