In Germany, e-scooters are only allowed on bike paths or on the road. Sidewalks and pedestrian zones are prohibited. The question is then more whether a throttle ring is currently installed and whether the new one becomes narrower.

The wider the throttle ring (distance ring, which prevents the maximum possible deflection of the variomatics), the lower the end speed.

If you don’t have a “rossel ring” in it at all, the scooter will certainly not be faster with ring.
