I want to prank some friends and pretend I'm a girl on Snapchat. However, if you have the person in your contacts, the username and the name you saved in your contacts are always shown there, like Thomas. Is there any way I can change that in the settings or something? Because otherwise, it would be a real shame.

You can’t verify with your phone number, so it won’t be displayed. Try to make an account just over an email, then the problem should be solved. But find something that is generally unnecessary and inconvenient to do this.
