It depends entirely on the application!

The MT4 is a cheap XC brake. So if someone is looking for a cheap, halfway light and not overly complicated brake for his XC bike, the MT4 is the better choice than the MT5.

The MT5 is a powerful four-piston brake. Not really cheap and not really easy. Four pistons also mean more maintenance than two pistons. Accordingly, the MT5 is clearly the better choice for someone who needs a good anchor for the endurobike and wants to make a higher investment in price, weight and maintenance.
