Hello,

you don’t really realize that. It is mostly liquid with solid components; according to what you ate. The colour also depends on previously consumed food. Unless the vomiting is obviously red-coloured by blood; then you have to go to the doctor immediately.

The fact that you may suffer from a gastrointestinal infect can be read much more about the stool. If there is a reasonable suspicion, I advise to send a chair sample to the laboratory.

Since vomiting also contains stomach acid; there is hardly a microorganism a chance of survival. If at all, only the norovirus can be detected.
