Does it make sense to downgrade the PC?

My little brother got an old Fujitsu Esprimo Q520 from school, which was decommissioned. He's currently gaming on a laptop, but he doesn't have particularly demanding requirements. Is it even possible to upgrade it properly?

Money is not so important, it is more about whether it is possible.

Yeah, at least at Fujitsu, that’s a PC, and you can replace the parts.

With laptops this is much more difficult because everything is glued and the parts have to fit extremely accurately.

Probably not. Looked at the picture, the case is so small that you shouldn’t get a discreet graphics card. Especially since you have to watch which motherboard is installed and there are even Cpus that are more powerful and fit the base. If it doesn’t make any sense because you would have to upgrade everything, Cpu, Mainboard, Ram, Gpu, that would make new purchase more sensible.
