MacBook Pro (2017 model) + Fritz!Repeater 1200AX = connection drops?
Good morning.
Because the Wi-Fi in my living room was never really great, and the Fritz!Box 6660 Cable apparently couldn't handle it on its own, I got a Fritz!Repeater 1200 AX last week. So far, so good.
All devices connect perfectly to the Wi-Fi, everything works without issues, except my MacBook Pro. The connection drops completely every five minutes, websites won't load, the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar doesn't show a single signal, and I get the sobering pop-up message "Connection to Fritz!Box 6660 Cable RI failed."
To fix the error, or whatever is going wrong, I have to completely disable the Wi-Fi on the Mac, then re-enable it. It connects and I can enjoy the internet for another 4-5 minutes.
It's incredibly annoying; I can't work properly on my MacBook! Meetings are canceled, and nothing works anymore!
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? It can't be the repeater, because all other (Apple) devices work with it without any problems.
The affected MacBook is a 13" device built in 2017, running MacOS Ventura.
The repeater and Fritz!Box both have the latest operating system installed and are connected via Mesh. Could this be the problem?

Ein Repeater ist nur so lange gut wie der Eingestellte Router Selber.
Verbindungsabbrüche könnte ich mir nur Vorstellen:
1: zu weit weg vom Router
2: Beide Kanäle sind an (2,4 und 5GHZ), und der Router etc. Wechselt ständig hin und her und dein Lappi etc. kommt damit nicht klar. Den 5er mal abschalten und testen
3: Die Funkkanäle werden stark überlagert mit anderen Funkfrequenzen.>>
Hier müsst du (gibt genug Handyapss etc.), den Funkkanal testen bzw. anschauen welcher nicht so stark belegt ist und Manuell einstellen
… da würde ich jetzt — wenn schon — eine Fehlermeldung erwarten, dass die Verbindung zum “Fritz!Repeater 1200AX fehlgeschlagen” ist. Daher: Bist Du sicher, dass Dein MacBook Pro auch wirklich mit dem Repeater verbunden ist?
Ja, denn der Repeater strahlt kein eigenes Funknetz aus, sondern erweitert nur das bereits vorhandene der Fritz!Box. (Mesh) Daher ist der Netzwerkname auch gleich (Fritz!Box 6660 Cable RI) Auf der Benutzeroberfläche (fritz.box) wird mir auch angezeigt, dass das MacBook mit dem Repeater verbunden ist.
