MacBook findet TP-Link Webinterface nicht?
Hi,
Does the switch perhaps also hang on a router and have now got a new IP?
If so, did you see if he was on the router?
Hi, thanks for your answer!
Yes, before that is a “main” Fritz!Box. On the switch itself is another FritzBox, which acts as an AP. When I log on to the FritzBox, I also see a switch.
Then you should also find the IP of the switch in the WebUI of the main box under home network -> network.
Otherwise, pull the cable out to the box again and restart the switch, then it should be accessible under the default IP.
No, just with the laptop.
OK, and is the switch connected to nothing else?
Thank you for your help now!
So, how can I change the IP address area on my MacBook? I can assign an IP to the Macbook Manual if I switch off the WLAN, but if I forget “192.168.0.12”, for example, it does not find it. Of course, I’m also on the switch with LAN.
But it can also be good that I understood it completely wrong. 😅
This can work in theory if you had configured your network appropriately. But that would be a very unusual configuration.
But to the basics. In a network there is usually a DHCP server that distributes the IP addresses to the devices and is usually part of the router, with you the primary FritzBox. Only addresses that are within the range of the subnetwork used can be reached for this purpose. In a Fritzbox the standard is 192.168.178/24. This means that the devices that have received the IP from the Fritzbox DHCP cannot reach 192.168.0.1 because this IP is not in their network.
In addition, the gateway, i.e. the IP via which all devices find their way to the Internet, is usually 1 . In order for your setup to work now, you should set the address area on the Fritzbox to 192.168.0/24 and place the address of the box to an address that is not 192.168.0.1.
If you now have the switch on your own, so it’s connected to nothing else, you’ll have to give an IP in the area 192.168.0/24 to the used interface on the MacBook, as this is the subnetwork used and there is no DHCP server in the network.
I don’t understand. As soon as I connect the switch via Lan to the Fritz!Box, connect my laptop as the only one to the switch and insert only “192.168.0.1” into the browser, it will load for a long time and then break due to a time-out. I used the switch for at least one year without any preconfiguration at that time directly as a switch. I’ve never been logged on to the web interface before.
But he can’t have any connection to the Internet either?
But you’ve already thought that you don’t have a DHCP and you have to assign an IP to the computer by hand in the area of the switch?
He doesn’t find it either. I have removed the switch and connected a single Lan cable directly to the laptop. To restart, I just put him out of the socket… When I enter “192.168.0.1” into the browser, he does not say any connection to the Internet.
