Hi, I have a Mac Mini from 2009, and every time I try to start it, a flashing folder appears. I've already tried entering recovery mode, but to no avail. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Apple usually supports the devices approx. 7 years with software. Speak +- 2016 your Mac Mini got the last update so macOS 10.10 or 10.11 Sierra. You can speak since ca. 8 years don’t use up-to-date browsers or antivirus… There’s no wonder the Mac Mini made the bending. Virus Enamels/Websites with the old Intel probably also completely without Spectre/Meltdown Mitigation, I congratulate now on your kernel and BIOS.
Get a new one!
