Mac Book wrong time?

Hey people.

Today I used my MacBook again after about a month. When I tried to turn it on, the battery died. I'm not sure if I turned it off completely the last time, or if the battery was dead. 🙈

When I tried to google something, it kept saying "Safari can't open the page." Wi-Fi worked. It worked for a short while, but then it kept saying "This connection is not private." See pictures. I then turned it off and tried again two hours later, and now I've noticed that my Mac is displaying the completely wrong date and time. I can't reset it, so when I toggle the "Set automatically" switch in the settings and turn it back on, nothing happens.

Does anyone know what can be done?

Thank you for your answers

The message regarding insecure connection can come from the wrong date.

This could also be the problem that time is not updated.

Place the date manually on the current day. Then try again with the automatic setting of the time.

I have the same problem. I tried to change time etc or that with the prawn, but nothing helps. I already had the problem, could solve the aberit of a shortcut when starting, but I can’t find the website anymore. Maybe jmd has another idea?

The whole can be corrected with a terminal command and a subsequent restart.

Previously, you only have to disable the automatic time setting.

The command is:

sudo rm /var/db/timed/com.apple.timed.plist

After restarting, you can reset the settings automatically.

Reset the PRAM (cmd+alt+p+r simultaneously and start the computer), let it start three times.

When setting the date and time automatically, you may have to wait a bit – the syncronization does not take place every minute.
