under MacOS Sonoma (macOS 14) you can turn the display in which you click on displays under settings, and then turn it or Select rotation. If you do not find the Rotation or Rotation menu item, please make sure that you have selected your external monitor.
In the old settings menu, you can also adjust the rotation under monitors.
