Lucid dreaming without your own control?

Hello, today I had a dream again, which I often have, and then I realized that I was dreaming. I was in the car and suddenly I couldn't see anything anymore and the brakes and everything didn't work anymore. I always get so scared and then I suddenly realized that it couldn't be happening and I had suddenly landed in the back seat and been teleported. There was a person sitting in the front who I didn't know and I told them that I was dreaming. The person turned around and simply agreed with me, "Yes, exactly, you're dreaming right now." Then I remembered that you're not supposed to say that to dream people. Then they turned around and gave me a really creepy look. I tried to get out of the car but I was tied down and then I screamed to myself to wake up and I didn't wake up. The person just told me that they were in control and then I was back behind the wheel and had to run from the police and in the process I forgot that I was dreaming. This is making me a little scared right now. I usually have lucid dreams when I have a cold, but nothing like this has happened to me the last few times.
