Low beam defective cost?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the left low beam on my Polo 6N (1998) is broken today.

The parking lights and high beam work perfectly. Do you think only the low beam bulb is defective? And how much does it cost to have a new one installed at the workshop (H4 bulb). Best regards

At the polo you should be able to change the incandescent lamp yourself, the incandescent lamps are available at any petrol station and only a few euros.

If you don’t trust yourself, it should make a good workshop for free as a service.

See if there’s a guide on Youtube.

with craftsmanship, it goes itself.

Tutorials find at YT, ne H4 pear in the construction market.

a workshop, as I would give me a quote, no idea at what price the H4 sells, the installation goes quite fast.

10 workshops – 10 prices

There are two incandescent filaments in an H4 incandescent lamp. So if your passing beam is defective, the incandescent lamp must be renewed even if the driving beam is still working. With your VW Polo, the change should still be done. The workshop can then check the headlight setting if the geometry is not correct.

My tip to you: also change the right side (can lift the used lamp as a replacement lamp). After all, it goes to the dark season there is good light and visibility important!

The pear (if it is a halogen bulb, of which I look out at a polo times) costs less than 10€. The installation should be quite simple, good workshops make the freeze or for a 5… look if you or someone from the circle of friends can’t do it yourself.

Son ne Birne is changed in less than 5 minutes. Engine hood, open cover from the lamps, remove plugs from the corresponding pear, release hold wire, unbroken pear, new pear in and then execute the steps in reverse order.

Son ne Pear changes in less than 5 minutes

with many cars, yes –

in some cases it is already necessary to carry out more effort, to remove lamp, or parts from the engine compartment; then it takes much longer

for the B Corsa Diesel, for example, the light machine must be removed from 🙂

You buy the bulb in the gas station and plug it in yourself. Continuous 5min

The old tube has no control units for the light

Because that’s a problem with your car, and you’re buying the pear in the workshop, it’s what the workshop usually does. With us it always means “throw something into the tip bank and is good”. I usually need 1 AW to change the pear. Depending on the hourly rate between 6 and 15 euros.

Buy and exchange new pear.

You’re lucky if it’s just the pear you’ll be charged a few euros for the pear and make the work free.

But this is only now in October: https://www.licht-test.de/
