London – 1 Oystercard/Londonpass for two people?

Hello, my husband and I are flying to London soon. We've been advised to get a London Pass and an Oyster Card.

My question here: do each of us need a London Pass and an Oyster card? As far as I understand, they work with a credit balance, so theoretically, one pass and one card would be enough for both of us, as long as there's credit on them, right?

The Oystercard is a charging card for the ÖPNV in London. Each of you needs your own. She’ll get her straight to the ticket machine. It is used to check in and out at the stations (see as in Paris, Belgium or the Netherlands).

I can’t help with the London Pass, we didn’t use it back then.

No, an Oystercard is considered a ticket. There can not be debited for 2 persons. So you need 2 Oystercards.

From the passes, I guess. Such passports are ripped off, no more! No local one will recommend such passports. The prices displayed as “original prices” on the pages are significantly higher than the real prices for the attractions. Also, there are many attractions that are listed on the pass pages as chargeable are in truth free. So things are pure tourist waste. And if you really want to get your money out there, you have to run from an attraction to the next without breaks and without being able to really look at the attractions. cheaper you get away when you just book in advance (best 1-2 months) directly at the attractions.

However, both “passes” always apply only to 1 person. So you have to buy both passports for each person if you need both. And yes, basically you both need.

Please note: At least the London Pass applies day-by-day – not “24-hour way”. So if you arrive late afternoon or evening, then this first day would be gone quickly.
