How do I agree to a price increase for the Deutschlandticket if I have previously used a plastic card?

As a Deutsche Bahn customer, do I have to agree to a fare increase if I've only used the plastic card so far and the fares are now increasing? The card was provided by the service at the time. I don't have the app, where approval is quick. Has anyone had this experience?

Out a beautiful city, worth seeing. And the rust roast sausages are also delicious. So it’s worth a visit.
