Is business class worth it?
My father says it's a waste of money. But after flying back to Germany in Premium Economy, I don't think it's a good idea. Especially not when the flight is 10 hours. So is it worth upgrading to Business Class? I mean, it was so cramped in that sardine can that I hurt myself.
My dad wouldn't think it's worth it, for example, to New York, because it's a shorter flight time. Is he right? I just don't want to lie awake all day, tossing and turning in a cramped space. Am I right about booking business class? What do you think?
So I don’t know what airline you’ve been flying with, until now this has been with me with the Thai Air, wonderful, Condor, okay, British Airways, Qatar Airways, okay, TAP Air, bad, Turkish Airline, okay.
I am not the narrowest, dress size 58/60 and sat well in the economy class except in the TAP Air.
I think the price for the Buissnes is not justified for the little better. Yeah, well, the seats are already wider and the food is also a bit better but for the short time of flight MIR would be too much money.
The seats are quite different in the business. A kind of bed is possible. I flew with Lufthansa in a stuffed 747. I imagined something different from the premium economy.
The seats are usually different in the different airlines from the width and also with the seat spacing. However, you can request this in advance on the net.
I travel with my partner exclusively Business or First Class. Since I always have long distancemercurybook, and not tied to school holidays, I always find good and affordable prices at Top Airlines such as Lufthansa, Swiss, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways and more.
For example, for 750 Euro p.P. in the LH Business Class to New York and back again, or in the Singapore Airlines Business Class for 1,100 Euro p.P. to Singapore and back again.
First Class gave it to me, for example, with LH to Miami and back with Swiss for 2,100 Euro p.P., or via Singapore to Auckland and back with Singapore Airlines for 3,100 Euro p.P.
For First Class I have never paid more than 3.250 euros per person for return and return flight together, and who pays more than 2,000 euros for Business Class is self-debted.
Whether the higher travel class is worth it, everyone has to decide for themselves.
At least from the seats of the Swiss Premium Economy in the B777-300s, which will also be installed in Lufthansa’s aircraft from 2023, I have only heard positively so far.
Thank you for the page you recommended.
It depends on your financial situation.
If you can afford it and still can book at least a 4 star hotel, you can consider Business Class, but I wouldn’t use it if a large part of your budget goes on.
If the premium economy has been too small and tight, it’s good that you didn’t sit in the simple economy class.
The question of whether it is worthwhile can only be answered about how convenient you want it. In the Buissnes class, of course, much more space is associated with less other passengers, the food and service is usually better and you have your rest.
That’s what’s going on. Whether it is a value, everyone has to make it clear for themselves. Personally, I was already satisfied with the Premium Economy class, which is now even bigger. I’d just sit in the Buissnes class if I didn’t get the money.
No one can answer this, you have to decide for yourself whether it is worth it or not.
For me, it’s also out-of-the-box money because you pay the double for (quasi) the same performance. You’re just going from A to B and you’re not there sooner.
And if you leave the airport, you’re not better than the ones from the economy! So I always laugh about the business.
So icb already thinks very childish, you don’t know how the financial situation of the person is, gives people who can afford it absolutely easily.
And also people like me, for example, get the corresponding tickets significantly cheaper by relatives in Lufthansa. Pay for a business ticket less than what usually costs an economy ticket on Skyscanner.
I can afford it without problems, it’s not the point! Are you seriously thinking economy travelers are all too poor? The question is more whether I am willing to throw the airline in the ranch for a minimum plus of services. And that’s exactly what they do from business and I’m making fun of it. What is childish about it?
You were lucky. Still, it doesn’t bother me to fly economy. I’m probably not going to fly in the future.
No, it doesn’t mean anything, and everyone should do it the way he wants. For me, however, these are not strong arguments and I prefer to spend my money on other things. Because I can’t eat anything like that for a few hours or I’ll take something from the duty-free area. I’m particularly tall or fat, so I’m just fine.
Statistically, it applies to most, unless you use any good offers.
Understand, I understand that it is really easy to afford and it is not such a large financial issue that threatens, for example, other things such as asset building or pension provision.
And the business class otherwise has significant advantages. You get significantly better food, have a comfortable seat, can take more baggage, get the likelihood of jet lag is lower etc., so if you can afford it without any problems anyway, nothing speaks about it.
Whether it’s worth something, everyone has to decide. Can also squeeze you into a wooden class seat for 12 hours at 190 cm body size, everyone has to know. Why do you think the C is so often booked? Because there are people sitting there for whom it seems to be worth it, right?
You’re supposed to have a vacation in California. I must be very surprised that you obviously do not think of anything better than to theorize in German question forums about flight trips. Unfortunately, this is the term Troll.
If you had read the question correctly, you would have learned that I am back in Germany. After two times over 10h Premium Economy, I just don’t like it anymore.
As a non-flying flight anxe, I can only give you the tip to get in touch with the travel trade fair. to try out the aircraft seats exhibited there and then decide.
