Loose braces smell?

Hey, I've had loose braces (top and bottom) for a week now. I clean them regularly with a soft (special) toothbrush and toothpaste, but they still smell funny? I've also read that you can clean them with cleaning tablets, but I have to get them first. So what's causing the smell?

If you know your stuff and maybe you've smelled it too, could you maybe say what it smells like?

Actually, you’ve done everything right. Because if you accustom yourself to brushing the chip whenever you brush your teeth, then nothing smells. From time to time, a cleaning tablet for tooth chips, when a coating is formed in the stretching gap – where you get badly.

It is important that you leave the chip – if you don’t wear it again – dry in the air and don’t pack it right into the closed can. Then the chip smells fresh when you take it in your mouth the next time. I couldn’t stand it when they snoop.

You have certain flora in the saliva with microbes, which then also settle on teeth and braces. Just on the back of the chip, which is not smoothly polished. But if you brush the chip regularly and let it dry, there’s nothing left…

Hello Anonymous,

the brace does not smell. If something smells, this is the biofilm that has formed on the chip.

After each wearing, you should thoroughly clean the chips with toothpaste and toothbrush and put them in the open can so that it can dry and is kept airy.

The cleaning tablets supplement the previously stated. But I’m afraid there’s a handling error in your head.

Good luck!
