The other option would be to drill out the lock, which requires removing the pins at the bottom. So, you don't go in where it's round, but where the pins are.
There are locks where you can operate the lock with a knob on one side and a key on the other. If you use a servo, you can turn the knob and open the door. If you control it with an ESP32 connected to your home's Wi-Fi, you can use your phone to access the website stored on the ESP32 and use it to open the door.
