Found a hole under the stable, could it be a marten?

Good day!

We unfortunately discovered today that one of our ducks disappeared last night. Even after a long search, we found nothing, including a carcass, traces of blood, or feathers that could indicate a predator. However, I've now found a burrow under the coop and wanted to ask if anyone has ever experienced something like this before? Is it common for a marten, ferret, or something similar to live under the coop, and do you think the size is appropriate?

A runner would certainly not have fit through this small tunnel if a marcher had tried to penetrate there and remove the animal from the enclosure.

The size could certainly come down, but there would not be an animal in a race that was overridden by itself.

However, as I have seen running people in real terms, I can agree that one of these animals could have at least grown up in this tunnel.

However, they are more likely to be on the duck food and leave their typical traces of feces when “returning” regularly.

But the tunnel seems to me to be quite coincident with your pictures, which is not more (more) for even active use of rats or marde-like small robbers.

If no traces of blood and feathers were to be seen in the enclosure, then I may type. more on a human thief, or on an above not covered or grilled cradle, where appropriate. on a big owl or even a Uhu .

If nothing could come into the enclosure or the enclosure outside the opening of the enclosure doors, it will probably have been a human thief.

In addition to capes and owls, I do not know a feathered thief of the night.

Any cats or otherwise four-legged robbers of the night will otherwise rather not open doors and gates and close again to stibble a duck.

(besides the enclosure was unsecured upwards and the duckhouse was not closed at night with its own door)

So ferrets definitely not, these are pure pets that are not present in the wilderness;)

There would have been a lot of blood and more dead animals in a marten than he could get away, and they live so close to man rather not in earth holes because there are better ^

Generally, no animal could squeeze through, a duck completely eat up to the last spring, and then squeeze back through the tunnel…

Have you looked exactly like strange footprints?

Would monitor overnight by video, e.g. with the old phone and the App Alfred…
