The dentist will do his job. If he’s kind of “bad”, smile at him and mention that you’re getting up for his livelihood. Remember: a treatment with the doctor is neither the school, nor a majestic parent and even no moralizing religious event.

First, the dentist looks at his teeth. The lamp for it is bright and best to close your eyes. If he finds something on that tooth, he’ll tell you what he’ll do. The edges of the hole are cleaned, the so-called “bore”. That’s stupid and annoying.

If it hurts, you raise your hand and the doctor can stub the tooth. That’s a shot. Squirts look more dangerous than they are. I told my doctor that I don’t like the sight and she’s supposed to tell me to close my eyes before she gets them out of the drawer. The actual spraying is unpleasant, but honestly, a muscle cat is much worse. You’re just not used to it.

The beautiful thing about anesthesia is that they are over in a few seconds and you can’t feel anything anymore. Before there were drugs, dentist visits were bad. But today it’s easy to do.

The cleaned hole is then filled. There are various possibilities here and the doctors know each other well. You can only eat again when the anesthesia has stopped, otherwise you could bite on your tongue.

Ask the doctor for a dental cleaning. In this process, stains and coatings are removed to prevent the formation of further holes.

Don’t worry. The least people like dentist visits. Something bad does not happen. It would only be dangerous not to go! The holes are larger and the tooth can then die.

PS. It’s Saturday in two days. Are you sure your doctor is open on Saturday?!

ART71 had a good idea: if it were a milk tooth, you could also pull it. At 13 years, you’ll probably get rid of your milk teeth.

Unfortunately, I inherited the soft teeth of my parents and was a lot at the dentist in the Laufe of the decades. Still, I’m still smiling every time. I’ve never seen anything from After the treatment thought I should have been afraid. It’s half as bad, or even more harmless. However, it is not pleasant or fun:-)

You can give you tips for dental hygiene. Well cleaned is not drilled! In the long run it is worth it – also financial…

Also depends on whether there is a milk tooth or the 2nd tooth. With too large holes in milk teeth and when the 2. Tooth is already developed far enough, the milk tooth may also be pulled equally.

Otherwise, it depends on the size of the hole whether normal filling is sufficient or dental prosthesis such as inlay or (partial) crown must be on it. Whether it hurts depends on how deep and close to the nerve has to be drilled. If the dentist knows from experience that it is usually painful, he is annoyed by himself, otherwise, if necessary, in the course of the treatment, if one has overestimated his “an Indian knows no pain”.

Why would the dentist be angry with you?

It might be commented on what you could do better with your cleaning behavior, but a hole in the tooth has as good as anyone. This doesn’t automatically mean that you don’t care about your teeth or you’re untreated.

And what is done exactly depends on size and place, I think. Ask the dentist before the start of the treatment if you want to explain what exactly happens.

No, he won’t be angry with you. Everyone is responsible for his own dental health. He’ll fill the hole.

No, the dentist deserves his money to drill and fill and finish, no problem?!

What does the dentist do when a hole is in the tooth?

What does the dentist do in caries? If Dentist determining a caries attack, the damaged tooth substance must be removed and the resulting hole be carefully cleaned to prevent further spread. A small drill removes the caries.
