Good morning,

to get straight to the point, I have briefly researched and came to a result:

Since 2017 it was no longer allowed to spend a certain amount of his resting time in the cabin, even sleeping has not been allowed since that.

According to § 8a of the Driving Staff Act (FpersG), a suitable sleeping area must be present during the rest period in the week. Truck drivers and holders must count on sanctions if they fail to comply with paragraphs and the ban on cabin sleep.

The fines are calculated on the basis of the starting hours of the rest period. The fine will increase 60€ per hour for the driver and 180€ per hour for the holder.

Further information on the cabin hiring ban can be found in the following link: https://www.bussgeldkatalog.org/cabin sleep ban/#table

Best regards

It is now planned in some countries not to spend weekend breaks in the truck, but so far our EU is not yet. The breaks can be spent in the truck. A corresponding device is present.
