Liquid base for shisha tobacco?

Evening,

Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but can you use a VG50/PG50 liquid base for dry shisha tobacco?

I have a bottle for e-liquid and would like to moisten the shisha tobacco. Shouldn't be a problem if you can use it for the e-Shisha too, right?
