This is clearly done by means of a dual boot process or a VM. It’s a little involved.

If you can English, I can recommend this article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_boot_with_Windows. For VMs there are various options, such as VirtualBox, qemu, etc.

There are several possibilities:

  • You can install VMWare and run Windows.
  • You can install WINE to run Windows programs.
  • You can install a “Dual Boot System” and optionally start Linux or Windows

Well, if you missed Windows, there would be “overlays” for example for a Windows 7 look:

So you could save it between the operating systems and have to change it.

Really? I just know that the other way around: Windows 11 works as well as nothing:

No surfstick, no printer, no scanner, no nothing.

I can be happy that at least memory sticks still work.

Windows 11 ruined everything.

That would be very easy, in the end you could ruin Linux.

Better find someone who has Windows 10 on it and connect the desired devices and see if they work.

And you’re sure it has your hoped-for compatibility? I’d be careful not that it’s like Windows 11 that doesn’t work at all.

What Windows version do you have?
