Do you prefer a 16- or 18-inch bike?
I am 1.58m tall, male, 18, with an inseam of 69cm and would like to get an all-terrain bike from Cube, which I will use almost exclusively on roads (but for day trips of up to 200km if possible).
Can you tell me based on this whether a 16-inch frame with 27.5 tires or an 18-inch frame with 29 tires would be a better fit? I've been to several bike shops, and some definitely say 16, others definitely 18…
Forget the numbers.
Which of them felt right/fit for you? You take that and get it done.
If both sizes felt more like compromise solutions, the model is the wrong one. For other brands, the frames are different and you get a different seat position with the same frame height.
So the important difference in the wheels is the distance you travel with a turn around. The vir will ride all at the ground, as you get a lot easier with 29 inches over roots etc., 27.5 is not so much worse, only you have to work with more. Just test and make feeling go. Unfortunately, the shops often want to sell things that they usually get rid of, which can quickly lead to scrap with your measurements.
The frame height depends on DIR and not vice versa
If I get canyon, I’d be guessed at a trekking with my 185cm seat tube of 55.2cm. In the model, you would look into the tube that the geometry would not fit.
One for a woman, for example, would be recommended for you a seat tube of 38.5cm

But 200km I would not tear down with the part defenitive on the day
So I’d really care about the size.
And you can see that when you drive.
