Is an aftermarket alternator (e.g. Bosch or Hella) recommended?
What experiences have you had with aftermarket alternators, i.e. alternators that are new but not originally produced by the car manufacturer?

Good day, I have the following problem with my Opel Astra K sports tourer 1.6 Diesel, 136 HP, built in 2018, 135k miles. While driving I heard a strange noise from the engine compartment. After a quick check everything looked fine and I carried on driving. When I accelerated after 55 km the noise came…
The car is 12 years old, has 100,000 km on it, and is a Ford Fiesta. As far as I know, nothing has been done to it. Apparently, everything is fine; these are just preventative repairs. What would you recommend to keep the car in good condition? Perhaps other repairs?
Hello dear users, Today I noticed that I hear a strange grinding-scratching noise when I steer. It's not loud, but it's annoying. (The noise is coming from the steering wheel.) It sounds like a pebble is stuck between two metal plates, causing the grinding noise. Can you please help me? Thanks in advance. Ford Fiesta…
Hello, can I have a current T1 radio installed in my VW Touran 2.0 TDI 16V 2004? I need a radio that has Bluetooth and that I can use to make phone calls and it must have a navigation system. Thanks for all the questions.
Hey guys First, about my car: Opel Astra h GTC, 2010, 170,000km, well maintained. I drive it daily. For about a month now I have had this problem that it smells strange in the interior It doesn't happen with every ride. I haven't figured out when it happens yet. In any case, it often occurs…
In my Mercedes C180 W202 I have been a Bosch light engine since 2008, which still works excellently, but has cost significantly less than one of Mercedes. Bosch is actually always quality and a factory that can be recommended without any doubt – and in most cases the original parts of the respective manufacturer have also been built by a company that distributes original equipment quality. Of course, I also count the company Hella.
In my Toyotas comes mainly DENSO (ex works often installed). Many do not know, but actually behind Bosch is the second largest supplier worldwide.
The company tells me what, I think they sponsored the Toyota Formula 1 team? This would have been a red logo, visually as similar to the sign of the “Toyota Quality Service”, which often stands at the car houses.
Yeah, originally, Denso even originated from Toyota. Denso is the main supplier of Toyota, spark plugs, for example, I only buy from Denso, as well as various electronic parts such as air meter or light machine.
Hello
Bosch, Denso, Hella, Lucas, Delco, Rhone,, are OEM. In my knowledge, no car manufacturer “Lichtmaschinen” builds itself (apart from racing generators from Daimler/Siemens/Temic) most come from the same factories in China, the Bosch “Kompakt” generators from 1990 are actually unit parts developed by Bosch/Zexxel/Hitachi/Denso. They are 99% identical in construction around the world whether Audi, Honda, Daimler, Ferrari, only the rear cover with connection field and type designation is manufacturer-specific. But there is the Compact Lima as “Standard” and “Heavy Duty” version. There are those with “cooler plate” and needle bearings instead of roller bearings. The world is built with heavy punk India, Malaysia, South Korea, China, South Africa, Turkey, Romania, Mexico
There are also overhauled regenerated Limas from zig sources ua directly from the car manufacturer
no matter, both are good brands and are used by many manufacturers from the beginning
The original lighting machines also come from Bosch or Hella. They are not built by car manufacturers.
Since the generators are not produced by the vehicle manufacturer anyway, the question does not arise.
Bosch or Hella, that doesn’t matter. Deliver both good quality and I would personally be here for Hella
Furthermore, the OEM-LiMa are also with quite high probability of Hella
Depending on the car manufacturer, however, with somewhat different specifications than those available in the accessories trade
No vehicle manufacturer is known to me. They only buy them from their suppliers. And sell them as a spare part with a lot of profit.
So you can also buy the parts from the suppliers, get the same quality, even if there is no sticker or imprint on it with the vehicle badge.
I haven’t experienced it yet. I always use original parts
The manufacturer is Bosch or Hella.
There it buys car companies themselves, stick their own sticker on it, pack it in their own cardboard and then take 50-60% surcharge for the same part from you.
A car manufacturer does not produce parts that are purchased. Bosch and Hella are well-known suppliers of many manufacturers and the original parts.
the car manufacturer does not produce light machines, but also buys them. Any well-known brand can be bought and processed parts are even cheaper
