License plate without vehicle?

Have a nice evening everyone,

I would like to have a license plate transferred to me due to personal value, but currently I do not have a second vehicle to which I can register it.

Can I "own" a license plate (and, of course, pay for it) without having another vehicle until I register it on my next vehicle?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Go to the online page of your registration and search for: “Wunschkennzeichen”

That’s where you keep the number for you.

After 1 month you have to reserve it again.

You’re doing this month by month.

And only once you register your car, you have to pay for it once. (Around €12.80).

Reserves of course only work when the previous owner has unsubscribed his vehicle.

Then you’ll have to be fast so that there’s no one else to get away.

You can reserve the license plate depending on the municipality up to a year.
