Why, unfortunately? You have the best office on the market – at least if you involve privacy and in my opinion at all. Like self-elected keyboard shortcuts or extensions, M$ Office cannot and is therefore a few years behind current development.
Go to Extras -> Auto input and remove the check. That should be enough.
Except of course, you manually set the formatting for the field differently. Then right-click on the field or the fields it concerns -> formatting cells
And then select the appropriate format:
That’s why I’d rather work with Microsoft. Thanks for the help. 👍
Did that help you? I’ve been looking for a solution for some time. So far as I have been able to research this, that is No Auto correction, but the default for date recognition.
This can also be seen quite well in the third screenshot in julihan41’s answer: in the middle column, the format with double-digit annual number is top and is therefore automatically taken as default.
My solution so far has always been that I convert the entire column in which the date is given in advance. But you have to do that manually.
Yes, I have found other solutions for my needs. As with any other software, you have to be able to improvise in the case of the case.
In the case of a linked csv file, I leave it completely unformatted and instead create a new worksheet with reference to the source cells. That’ll be formatted, and that’s all right.
I always do this – if necessary – via the formatting settings. Number, percentage, date, it’s all good and easy to adjust. 🤷
I don’t, either, because I don’t (more) work with Excel & Co. I just described that I was looking for a solution, and so far nothing concrete has emerged.
I didn’t try it anymore if I’m honest, sorry.
Yesterday I just had to create something and now I’m gonna make sure that the format is just 6… It was just a private document.
And you can’t tell me that M$ doesn’t convert a date as a date. They even convert DNA information, and thus destroy research data:

Actually, that should go through this menu item. The options can also set which changes are to be made.

Look, it seems to be Calc. Here, the format in the sidebar can be set to text, which should eliminate the automatic formatting of numbers:
If necessary, the sidebar must first be hidden:
With the abbreviation Alt+1 you can go directly to the “properties” menu.
Can you please explain the exact way again step by step in German. I’m sorry. Thank you
I revised the answer again. Here in text form:
If hidden, a side bar can be inserted at the right edge centrally via the arrow.
The standard format for empty cells can be set under the icon with the Abakus (” Properties”). This can also be opened via the abbreviation Alt+1.
Here it is now possible to set as a “text” format under “number format” in the opening menu, so that inputs are not formatted.
Existing cells would have to be set to the “Text” category via a selection > Right-click > “Format Cells” in the “Numbers” tab.
Honestly for Otto Normal, this is a complicated Sch… because unfortunately it’s still not like me. When I copy everything and format on text, there are no date data anymore, some number salad.
Also the alignment in the individual cell formats it again sometimes without obvious reason. Doesn’t make fun of the program…
but thank you.
That doesn’t make M$ Office any different. What the one in the work does everything to me back and forth without recognizable reason. I’ll always be able to bend it back.
Top thank you again
