Steering wheel vibrates between 80-110 km/h on BMW E60 530D?
Hey car lovers,
I have the following problem: The steering wheel on my E60 shakes between 80 and 110 km/h, regardless of whether I brake or not. Above 110 km/h, the vibration gradually decreases, and at 130 km/h, it disappears completely.
I installed new shock absorbers and springs, but the problem already existed before and didn't go away.
(just wanted to install a sports suspension..)
The brakes are still in good condition, except for the brake pads. But, as mentioned, the problem occurs not only when braking but also during normal driving between 80-110 km/h.
Anyway, my question is, could this have something to do with the wishbones? I don't know too much about it. Or is it perhaps something else? Because apart from the dampers and springs, nothing has been replaced on the car (built in 2007).
theoretically it could be anything :/
I look forward to helpful answers.. LG
Hmm. With me, it was once an uncovered rim, because the old weight flew away
Hmm…. so when summer tires were on it, the same problem was. Now that the winter tires are on it, everything has remained. So it’s about tires or rims
These vibrations in the speed range are 95% on the tires. And if that was with the summer slates, they were probably also a fucking one. If 2 do the same, it’s not the same for a long time. So for example balancing and balancing is not always the same
Okay, thanks for the info. That’s jz in reverse, letting tires revive?
That’s exactly what it’s about. If, of course, the work is done with high suppression (some machines can display 10 grams of zero), it can be nix…
Maybe your tire species just forgot to grow. Put him on the pot!
Pot? Sorry am not so experienced it for stupid explaining😂
So the problem was, as I said, with both tires and then there were 2 different rims on it and the problem still existed with both..
Then drive shaft
