Left the key in the ignition?
I'm in town right now and I see a key in a scooter. Should I take it with me and take it to the lost and found office or something similar, or just leave it there?

Let it go, and go on, because it doesn't matter to you, and you don't have any evidence, there's a scooter with a sticky key, and the owner could stop in the vicinity.
