Do optimists really live longer and are healthier?
Is it true that optimists really live longer and are healthier? I've read several studies suggesting that people with a positive outlook not only cope better with stress, but are also physically healthier and live longer. Supposedly, this is because optimists replace negative thoughts with positive ones and are more likely to surround themselves with positive people, which in turn is said to have an impact on their mental and physical health.
Have any of you had experience with this or perhaps even read similar studies? I'd be interested to know whether it really has a measurable impact on health and how one can implement this kind of mindset in everyday life. Are optimists really less susceptible to illness and stress-related problems?
On average, it can be that optimists live a little longer. They probably tend to depression, fears, and suicide.
However, optimism does not protect against incorrect nutrition, from addiction, from viruses, bacteria and fungi, or from accidents. Optimism does not become invulnerable.
However, the production of stress hormones such as cortisol will be lower. This makes you feel more comfortable and sleeps, for example better. It is also less susceptible to self-impairing lifestyles that promote diseases. Inflammation values may be lower and the immune system is more stable.
Good mood and optimism contribute to better health. Psychic and physical.
Because bad mood, black painting and constant smack mean stress for mind and body. And this type of stress is poison for the body. In addition, most of them don’t want to give up with such whiskers…
On the other hand, if one goes through optimistic and well-launted, one will also have a similar environment and simply feel more joy, which is evidently good for well-being:-)
Conclusion: laughing is the best medicine! Except for diarrhea 😀
