Learning website for children – Who has suggestions for improvement?

Hello everyone,

So far, my eldest (1st grade) has done very well with learning with flashcards – letters, the most important words, the first addition calculations, …

Because I want to continue this process and optimize it for my little one, I've now created a website and designed it so that other parents can use it too (free of charge, of course). The idea is quite simple: the kids are asked questions or tasks on their phones one after the other – and the parents then either say that they were right (e.g., that they read a word correctly or recognized a letter correctly), or they choose a correct answer (e.g., for math problems).

Now I would be happy if one of you could take a look and see what I could improve (not technically – I simply don't have the know-how for that… I'm mainly interested in the content: layout, processes, functions, …).

And to the parents among you: Feel free to use it!

You can find it at https://www.affenschule.de

Thanks!

David

You’ve done a lot of trouble with it, but it can’t really inspire me.

First of all, I wonder if the average primary school teacher is not competent enough to achieve the desired learning success about teaching and homework without additional programmes.

Your assignments are very nice, but they’re quite monotonous.

The texts are probably too heavy for most first-class artists to handle long series of at least 20 tasks alone.

In the questions, you have made all the answers big (also verbs), which can lead to confusion.

In the case of wrong answers (at least when using the PC) a part of the question disappears, so that the correct solution cannot be traced in connection (“Have I read or the answer really not known?”).

I wish all first-hand students that homework remains a necessary evil for them, that they do as quickly and as well as possible on their own, in order to be able to thrive with friends afterwards.

That their parents support them if they really need help instead of giving them the feeling that what they create alone is not good enough.

And they don’t have to torture themselves with repetitions for hours, just because they make a mistake from time to time.

I don’t know if this is still possible today…

The card cards, but the kids have to write it. 1x written is better than 10x read.
