Learn several foreign languages at the same time?

Hi

I'm currently learning English and French at school. I'm relatively fluent in English and can also read books in English. French is still a challenge for me. I can't speak it very well yet, but with a lot of effort, I can compose simple texts.

Now, in addition to school, I'd really like to learn Swedish and Spanish. Do you think that would be too much?

I really want to do it and have the motivation. I just wanted to give it a try.

Not to learn too many foreign languages at the same time.

After 4 years of French, you can learn Spanish.

… and later another foreign language

So, just if you’re not so good in French, it’s probably better if you focus on it first, especially since it’s a school subject that’s also rated. You can still learn the other languages, which is why you are next to them, but your main focus should be French first.

Everyone’s different.

I would also like to continue the work in Norwegian or Spanish.

It’s too much for me. I tried.

So try it out. I think Swedish is easier than Spanish.

If you have French at school, so I would have to learn Spanish at most. Both are Romanesque, so come from Latin. They have many parallels and this will help you in French. The disadvantage: you may be confused at the beginning.

From another language, I advise you until your French does not improve. Too much is never good. And the languages are so different, you just get confused.

You have to set goals. What do you want with the languages: Or they really interest you. You don’t learn a language in a few months. In order to be able to speak correctly, you must also immerse yourself in the culture.

Just try. If it’s fine and if it doesn’t work, you just leave it. But it is not to try and regret it later at any time the Faslche is gone.
